I wonder if Registrars allow one to drop the domain name if it is registered less than 48 hours and get refund (excluding $0.25 which is ICANN fee)? Is that possible?

Yes it's possible with a few.
I believe DirectI allows cancellation of the name within 4 days (they refund the reg fee but keep $1). Regfly is offering the same too.
There must be other registrars which offer cancellation to their clients.

whats the time limit for cancellation with Enom?
and does Godaddy also provide this service?

tekz999,

Is it only with eNom or if I get reseller account I will be able to cancel it as well? Does eNom keep more than $0.25 after the cancellation of the domain name?

Really though I see no reason why anyone has to cancel a registration. If I was a registrar I wouldn't provide the service because users have to go through "endless" confirmation pages. :-P

Has anybody used the eNom's API to cancel registrations?
Does it work well? How fast do they cancel the registrations?

It is a great option, if one uses it wisely
