What are your opinion about the recent .XYZ domain popularity?

Recently Jack Dorsey (Founder of Twitter) company changed their name to Block.XYZ and there are many other reported big figures .xyz sales.

Do you think it's the best idea to invest in .XYZ

I think there is a good chance for XYZ to take hold as a secondary to .com — much like .net — now.

Two of the largest companies are using it. I think that we'll see a trend with Fortune 500s, and then regular folk, if it is within a reasonable price range compared to the .com.

By scanning most of the recent .xyz sales I found this is mostly used by crypto and blockchain-related startups and companies.

I think it has the potential to be used for much more than just that.

I'm just sorry I turned a blind eye to this one because it seemed so flakey, much like a .com boom company would act.

I agree that most startups after a successful launch and securing enough dollars from investors jump and acquire exact product match .com (which ultimately make .com more valuable then any other .whatever tld)

What I noticed in .xyz is most of this reported sales are single words, some are even very uncommon word and the most trending niche is crypto and blockchain.

If enough businesses make it common use, it may be a good investment. However, just like with .com, all the generics have already been registered by domainers. So you'll pay a hefty markup, and unlike with .com, there isn't much backing it its value right now. Personally, I also don't like the way .xyz looks (visually).

I agree with you, I myself sold .co, .tv and .org domain name because I hold these TLDs along with .COM

I agree and I saw many even in 4 figure renewal.

Btw, today Namebio reported sales has 9 to 10 .xyz and the biggest is also .XYZ domain.

Google knows how to manipulate through others.

If you do not have one .com, may .com is the best choice. .xyz is another good choice when you already own a .com
