Hi guys,

I'm trying to transfer a name from Dotster to GoDaddy. The transfer was initiated on 08/23/03 from my GoDaddy account.

As of today, GoDaddy has not heard from Dotster. When I went to www.dotster.com, I can't find any contact info to ask what the holdup is.

Does anyone have any Dotster contact info for me?

Thanks in advance.

My friend I got Dosters number by going to AnyWho.com, type in Dotster, in the state of Washington, It gives you a telephone number which you have to leave a message for every option. Really stinks.

thats funny! I am in the exact same situation. Also, you should now that Godaddy's transfer will expire after 1 month. I have 15 days left on mine.
I tried contacting dotster and have heard nothing so far (1 week).

If you did find a way to solve this, please do tell!

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. You wouldn't happen to be transferring a .org, would you? I have a theory that dotster has no clue what to do with the new .org auth code system. I could be wrong.

yes, I am trying to transfer an ORG.

I didnt think it was because of the TLD that they were not answering...
You just gave me a great idea.
but dotstersucks.com is already taken...

Update: my (.org) transfer just went through... no email, no authorization codes, no nothing. It just "magically" showed up in my GoDaddy account.

I sent an email to GoDaddy about this yesterday, however I haven't receive a reply. It's possible they fixed it and didn't tell me. So possibly try emailing GoDaddy, maybe they'll put the pressure on Dotster for you!

Here is something that may help. Go to www.pir.org and check the whois for your .ORG name.

There is a good chance it was actually transferred but, because communication is very poor between the registrars and pir.org, it never showed up on the registrars whois.

If, after you do your whois search at pir.org, you do find that it indeed had transferred, notify the new registrar so they can update their records.

Contact them from inside your account.
