I am looking to get into the UAV market and begin taking aerial photos/clips.

I have been researching a few and like the specs on some. Many you can purchase with a GoPro and all its accessories.

How about others that have the platform for a camera? One that I can use my own equipment?

You might want to visit your local Verizon store. I think they are marketing a drone in the $300 price range controlled via an iPhone app which might meet your needs. Though it seemed a neat toy, found it hard to cost justify such a device just to determine if the horses' round pen was actually round. ;-)

My sentiments exactly but I see an incredible upside market for drone photography services.

Just not convinced I need to pursue this with all the other projects I have going on. Plus, being on the road for extended periods at a time creates too many challenges to overcome to get set up as an established business in one geographic location.
