DNFix was built as a result of our own company's dissatisfaction with the current auction marketplaces available which were just filling up with crap domains. DNFix was meant to be something different and better.
We launched this in April of 2009. Initially we had a flurry of activity. Some domains sold, but ultimately we didn't do much with it after the launch other than optimize it buy some text links for it.
The site's auction platform is built on PHPProBid and is VERY robust. We had a few custom features built for us, including a fixed starting price (in case we ever wanted to force users to list at a certain price), and the enable/disable of the reserve price feature (in case we wanted to make all users sell at no reserve)
The design is 100% custom, built by PHPProBid themselves. We have over $3000 into the site design and custom development.
The site has 80 registered users and has auctioned over 1600 domains.
We're selling the site because we are doing nothing with it and don't ever intend to do anything else with it.
Revenue Details
We received some modest revenues. Mostly from users that signed up for the "verified seller" program, which verifies them as a real person. Between that a handful of success fees, we've probably made around $50. This is negligible and that's why we didn't include it.

The site receives a lot of traffic. PHPProBid ranks well in the search engines and we have a lot of backlinks to the site out there. See our analytics for more details.
