Domain Sales - are prices still in a freefall?

My keyword end user sales are still doing fine. It seems the biggest drops have been in domainer type domains. I am sure this is because most domainers are sitting on losses, and there is just less capital to go around in this market.

I've sold a few kinda niche domains for OK prices but nothing I thought was crazy overpriced since late 07... offers are mainly lowballers telling you they can give you x months revenue blah blah etc

offers have picked up from flatline though recently

IMO, the problem was with the first sale especially HighSpeed.net @ $27k and CentralAmerica.net @ $12k

Agreed, these .net sold at overpriced amounts.

Lots of domains are selling for way less than before.

However, end users are still paying top dollar...

But, as any regular here knows, end users ready to buy are difficult to find; waiting many years is common, which is a problem for domainers with large marginal portfolios that must be renewed, at ever increasing cost, year after year.

Personally, I've have sold off most of my domains (from 1400 down to under 200), even some at substantial loss, to end up with a small portfolio of select domains; though many of which are of little interest to domainers, but have fantastic development potential and end user appeal.
