Can a Domain be Transfered to another Registrar after it has expired and is in a 45 day Grace or Auto Renew Period?

I have one domain which is expired but it is in the 45 day Grace Period. The buyer wants to transfer it to another registrar. Do I have to renew it?

How much days should be left to the expiry of the domain before the domain can be transfered to another registrar.

It depends from one registrar to another.
First, the grace period varies between 0 and 45 days, after that the domain will go into redemption (or possibly be repossessed by the registrar).
Look at the T&C, maybe it's mentioned but I would renew and not take a chance.

^sale of $5, by the of way I am using ResellerClub as my registrar and it provides 45 days of Grace Period. I will renew the domain but I just wanted to know if there is any possibility of doing it or someone else has tried it before....
