Domainer Get Together in Chicago

I start Indiana Real Estate school next Monday so Mon, Wed, and Fridays are out for me for 6 weeks.

Everyone, I talked with a few of the folks at domainfest and Oversee would like send someone out to join us (and maybe sponsor the event). The only problem is they can't do Labor day weekend (the 3rd) and suggested the 17th instead.

We certainly don't need to have Oversee involved, but it might be nice to get some coverage of the meetup.

Let me know your thoughts.

Sounds great...Fridays are out for me though.

OK...Fridays are now in. I can attend the morning class and get credit for my night class for that day.

Wanted to keep this thread alive, how do your schedules look in September? I think I'm going to cross post this the Groups forum to see if we can generate some more interest and ideally set a date...what do you guys think about the weekend of September 17th?

Me and David (iestates) were thinking that we could plan to meet in the lounge of the W on Adams around 8PM, does that work for you guys? For those of you who are coming into town, we could meet around 6 to get some food as well. Hopefully we can still get a decent turnout, I know its pretty late notice but if you can make it please RSVP to me or by replying in this thread.

I'll go with the crowd but need to say the W lounge was very loud when I was there and would be impossible to talk in. Unless we can get them to turn off the music

In a case like this a quiet place would be best.

I'm planning on attending and would be up for the dinner also.

So is this a weekend or night thing? I'm about 2 hours away and would prefer to stay the weekend if I drive down. Need to know soon since its coming up quick! How about whosoever is interest can PM me.

Right now the only concrete plans are for the night of the 17th, but if there's enough interest we can certainly get something together for the 18th. I'll talk with David and have an update for you guys tomorrow.
