Domainer Get Together in Chicago

We're grabbing dinner at Elephant and Castle and then heading over to the W lobby (or Whiskey Blue, depending on the crowd) for drinks afterward.

If you guys know other Chicago domainers, please reach out to them.

I'll go with the crowd but need to say the W lounge was very loud when I was there and would be impossible to talk in. Unless we can get them to turn off the music

In a case like this a quiet place would be best.

I'm planning on attending and would be up for the dinner also.

Tim, we can play it by ear. Especially if there are just a few of us, we'll move if it's not working. There are several places right around there or within a 10 minute walk or a 3 minute taxi ride.

8PM: Meet at the W lounge (172 W. Adams St) for drinks and general lounging I'll PM my contact info

If you have any industry friends that you would like to bring along, feel free to let them know, the more the merrier. I'll be calling E&C on Friday to give them a rough head count

Thanks to all those who made it out for our first (monthly?) domainer meetup in Chicago. There are obviously a bunch of talented, intelligent people in the area, and it was refreshing to exchange ideas with people who are on the same wavelength. We even had a visitor from the investment industry.
All in all it was a great start, I'm looking forward to the next one! Perhaps we can shoot for the weekend of October 22nd? Ideally we could get a regular schedule going, like the 3rd Friday of each month or something. For those of you who had other obligations, please let me know what dates work for you and we will try to get as many people together as possible.

It's getting a bit late to do something in October still, my weekend schedule is pretty much booked for the rest of the month. Let's try the weekend of November 19th or 26th? I'll make a post at some other forums I frequent. The W worked okay last time, but ideally we could find someplace with wifi. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Hardrock sounds like a good choice. We should do something in Nov since most will be busy in Dec with parties and shopping.

BTW, Search Engine Strategies is Oct 18-22. You can get a free expo floor pass online. Some good exhibits and a great book table. worth going to talk to other peeps. I'll be there one of those days if anyone wants to have a drink...the Hilton lounge is also a good meetup place.
