Who plans on attending DomainFest Jan. 21-23, 2008?

http://www.domainfest.com/index.php?hw08

I'm sure DCG will be invited to speak as well as many other
successful domainers.

I'm positive Ron Jackson will be covering the conference.

I also heard they will have a different approach to auctioning domains.

Interest continues to grow (in conferences and auctions) as a result of so many more companies and individuals becoming aware of the domain industry. Have not been to a DomainFest, but looks well organized.

I'll be there, hopefully I will meat my great friend from this board, STOC(K)DOCTOR...

I'll be there. I booked the flight ages ago, but I left the hotel a little late, so I'm staying about 5 minutes walk from the venue

I will be there - staying on site....

I'm considering it, just a drive up from San Diego. Does anyone have personal experiences with DomainFest? Is it worth it? Who would get the most benefit out of it?

Any help would be appreciated!

Flying out from the east coast. Looks like a great setup. Hoping to splurge on one or two domain names that I can resell in the future. I also was a little late in registering and will be staying 5 minutes away.

does anyone have the updated list from Snapnames? Its pretty crazy because the auction is so close and I don't even know what names to plan for. My sole intention was to buy names so I can flip them in future auctions. I hope it won't be a wasted trip for me. Snapnames, when will you release the live auction list?!!!!!!!!

Wow, that time of year again. I went last Jan in Hollywood and it was well worth it. Very well put together, though the price is about $400 more this year just to get in the door.

I'll see everyone there!

We will have a team there and a booth in the exhibitors area

I went last year for the first time.

It was pretty cool

Who benefits?

Pretty much everyone, as there's a very wide tranche of the 'net industry attending

Re: Who benefits, one of the main charities is Grassroots.org. Some of the domains have been donated in their name and they will receive the sales proceeds.

They announced today the next DomainFest meeting.

http://domainermeeting.com/

"Domainer Meeting in Paris (France)
let’s meet in Paris 19th and 20th June 2008! "

DomainSponsor is working in conjunction with the registrar EuroDNS.

I believe the hotel is 250 euro and up.
It is a little expensive when you are paying with U.S. dollars.
:disappointed:

Interesting side note - I didn't realize it til tonight, I own DomainMeeting.com
I hope it increases my traffic.
;)
