Domains with ALEXA ranking

Hi guys, I have question, if I would buy some domain on 10.000 Alexa ranking with about 200.000 visits per day and put there some ads with pop ups, what would happeen ? I mean in how much time the ranking will drop ? Is there some possiblity to make money with ads or it's better to develop good site to keep the traffic ? THANK YOU !

google ad planner is a solid source for approximate traffic, but i think the minimum is 1k a day.

I am actually bidding on Godaddy auctions to the domains which have as high as possible score in Alexa to get the traffic.

Thx for the links I check that ad planner, my question is - Unique Visitors (users) - it's statistic per day, month or year ? There are no details about that category so I'm lost.
And Page Views - it's total number ? Or just per month ?

correct, with adplanner the 'views' and 'visits' are monthly estimates.

i bought dropping domain over 1 yr ago,it has unique visits about 3oo per month but i ve earned from it.what could be wrong?

search "domains with traffic" section here on the forum.


read the threads and look at what is required for posting there and look at the "screenshots" sellers post to "verify" their traffic/revenue claims.


if you go around bidding on domain names without knowing why or how they generate traffic and whether or not that traffic will sustain or if it is relevant to the terms of that domain, etc, etc..

then you will waste money.

Thanks guys for help, I have even one more question - there is domain in about 25.000th position in Alexa but on the Sedo it's monthly traffic is 2500 visits (ONLY!!!) So I trust you that alexa is easy to manipule, but how exactly I can change my positions in Alexa ? Thanks

I see no value in that domain, I wouldn't spend reg fees on it.
