Today I ot this mail

Recently ICANN changed the rules for grace deletions of new domains. For every domain registered, Dynadot pays a $0.20 fee to ICANN. (This fee is included in the price you pay to us.) Previously, this fee was refunded to us if the domain was grace deleted in the 5 day window. However, ICANN will now charge the fee even if the domain is deleted.

Effective immediately Dynadot can no longer offer grace deletions. Any new domain registrations must be kept for the full year. Domains registered July 4 or earlier can still be grace deleted for free.

So no more refunds for testing names

Yeah got the new mail today , though 0.20$ is not bad for tasting the names

Well... too expensive for me, so I am probably out...

You can now by dishing out $0.20 per domain.

"Limitations on COM/NET Grace Deletions

Verisign, the COM/NET central registry, does not like repeated registration and grace deletion of the same domain. After 5 grace deletions for a given domain, further registration attempts for that domain will no longer be allowed."

is this true that Verisign does not allow more than 5 grace deletions? If this is a new rule then this is a real blow to domain kiting

That was the purpose of the rule.

I was behind a domain that was deleted every three days periodically and catched again.
Now it is in my cage :)
This will give us the ones without a registrar some chance on droping domains.

Domain tasters should be forced-fed asbestos-laden paint chips :D
