I see someone is selling yom.com on eBay. That seems a terribly insecure place to sell a good name, or am I wrong? Maybe if the seller insists on escrow it's okay, but I don't think I'd chance it myself, even for a quite ordinary name. It's too scary. But I'm wondering why the seller hasn't got it on Sedo or one of the forums like DNForum, where the parties can be verified.

It's a terrible waste of time setting up the minimum bid of 25k and 27k BIN. Good luck to the seller!

What do you mean, DNP? I don't understand. Do you mean he won't get any bids? If so, could it be his way of advertising it?

The seller has listed YOM.com many times at eBay ... I think the prices have gradually been coming down.

= overpriced.

Ah! Thanks for that. What do you think it's worth? Not that I'm thinking of bidding, lol.

Yep. Some people have a bad tendency to put a starting bid / reserve WAY too high. I've seen domains that could have easily fetched $90K on the domain but since they had a $80K reserve no one bid on it.

That makes sense, draggar. I did think the price was more than a bit steep for eBay. For some reason I always think of that site in terms of used or unwanted items.

Yes, hence the reason you see domains listed for $999,999,999,999,999

Although I believe YOM.com has been coming down in price lately on eBay.
