enom - name only (before enom built a company) - $0 - I'm sure it was available when they regged it.

my point exactly, i'm sure your response would be homegeneous for the name hotmail, it's not necessarily the name that makes a good or popular site, it certainly helps as my slogan suggests but it's not essential,

anyway doberry how many more 6.95 accounts you got left, i'll wait until you run out and jack up the price :)

If you are talking about branding a name that starts out being worthless you need a couple of million dollars to do that. I don't think you are going to spend that much to try and brand something like einames. Both "e" and "i" prefixes are completely out of fashion now, so you have a double negative before you even get to "names".

Think it would be more esthetic as .......
"e-iNames.com" or "i-eNames.com"

That would be very brandable IMO

 You're kidding right? Two out of date prefixes AND a hyphen are going to make a name good enough to spend a million or two to brand?? Why not just go out and buy a really good name that doesn't need branding for $5,000 and save yourself $995,000?

When people talk about branding they have no idea how much money it takes to do that - far more that virtually anyone here, including me, is going to have.

Puke of Earl lol, i joke because i care, sorry Duke, according to eNom it's name is 'eNom' not Enom since that's how they always spell it and yes i realise 'nom' is french, as in the term 'nom de plume' that is often used, regardless, i think it's a poor name but if the site represents something decent the name becomes a mere facade and so unless you have a dictionary word as a domain name the rest are all very subjective as we found out with my domain name. i blab because i don't want to get back to work.

a name like that is only worth something if the site has good content. No one here is going to say the site is worth $0 if you have it up and running, and is making money. But people are apprasing it as a name, not as a business, not as a business idea, but as a name.

Some sites out there have appauling names, but due to the content of the site, value has been ADDED to it. Examples are ebay.com, opodo.com kelko.com and there are alot more out there.

Alot of people seem to put the cart before the horse. A domain name is only going to get a good price if someone is after that particular name. Your not going to get a high price if you explain to people a idea for the name and then try and sell it to them. Ask yourself why would someone pay a premium for this name? What makes it special? Why would someone "have" to have this name? If the answer to those questions are you don't know, then you know why its worth $0.

Hey Victor,

I bought TopNames.com to replace DNFactory.com...I have gotten over 10 type-ins each of the first 3 days I have owned the domain. I NEVER got type-ins with DNFactory. Am I correct in asuming that einames.com does not get type-ins? Just a point to consider.

Good luck with your site,
Ken

iNames.com eNames.com are ok, but eiNames.com nope.

eNom = e name, Nom is french for Name.

"C'est quoi votre nom?"

That's why I said if that ups the value, then making the name e + i + cyber + name should really up it.

He didn't like the idea though. :(
