Enom just created a registrar called "extrathreads.com"

Domain Name: CHOPPY.NET
Registrar: EXTRA THREADS CORPORATION
Whois Server: whois.extrathreads.com
Referral URL: http://www.extrathreads.com
Name Server: No nameserver
Status: ACTIVE
Updated Date: 04-aug-2004
Creation Date: 04-aug-2004
Expiration Date: 04-aug-2005

Once again Enom decides to abuse the expired domain market.

Its time to contact ICANN about this.

As you know drop threads or registrar connections are used to catch domains.

Therefore to create a registrar called "extra threads" they think its funny.

The accreditation of a registrar for this purpose and not even developing it is a joke.

But maybe their intention is to get their own back on ICANN and cause them problems ?

It is also very inconciderate to the rest of us and gives ammo to the pro-wls.

I don`t see any problem here.
As long as I can manage the domain with enom, url forwarding. And so on..

But snapnames is also creating new reg. but they don´t even have no website, You can`t manage Your domains, that really sucks.

ICANN granted the accreditation and Enom paid.

However I would like to see the Registrar Accreditation Agreement changed so that regisrars can't be setup purely for drop catching purposes.

http://www.icann.org/registrars/ra-agreement-17may01.htm

and an insurance they have to provide a website, login and customer support.

You go to www.extrathreads.com and you get enoms PPC

This is what I shall be telling them about.

Do you think the 10 registrars Pool.com just were acredited for, are going to serve as storefronts for domain name registration? You might want to start your complaint to ICANN there.

At least they developed them. Even if they haven't caught any names with them yet.

Pool are just as much to blame to.

Anyone can buy creds maybe it should be more restricted.
