I am sure all the registrars will soon jump on the wls bandwagon, even the ones who filed suit.

"You can put Dibs in the queue with no bid, but if you want to increase your rank in the queue, you must bid at least $15. The more you bid, the higher your rank in the queue. When the registry begins accepting First Dibs subscriptions, we will submit the queue to the registry in ranked order."

"For every Dib in the queue, you commit to pay $35 plus the bid amount if we are successful in obtaining the Dib for you."

I see the fight for money will be made in someway or form - WLS was meant to be brought in to protect this kind of behaviour, it seems it'll be what many predicted - an auction orgy fest for the rich

First Dibs, as we understand it, will be a similiar system to the Next Registration program that has been introduced. It will offer another model of which to subscribe to a WLS drop when and if it happens. We think that you will see more Registrars adopting the same type of program and branding it out themselves. WLS surely will roll, just when is the question.

First Dibs is worse than ticket touting for tickets you don't even own.

Enom now sucks.

When Elequa opens www.i.net I know where I will be transferring all my names.

Er, i.net is el's personal butler so dream on :-D Well, uh, unless you want to pay $10k for a straight year's reg on one name with no services

Yes, I don't agree with eNom's First Dibs business model. It's a model based purely on profiteering from the impending WLS launch to its fullest, imho. Good for eNom, bad for customers :-( Well, you still have NRR to bank your hopes on (one pre-order, no auction, first-come-first-serve). After all, nobody wanted to support WLS and NRR/Netsol had to go solo like a lone wolf without the pack behind it. This lone wolf was targeted to be slaughtered by the courts, mind you.
