Dear all

I would like to enquiry where it is possible to register for client using enom's pdq and have individual password via RR.

I mean can I register the domain and push it to RR for my client to login.

OR do I need to use my credit card via RR and give the password to my customers?

But I am worried about whether the customer can renew the domain via RR with my credit card.. (supposed I used my credit card to registered it and passed the domain and password to my customers.

Anyone try this. Because I am planing to received money (not in USD) here in HKD and pass the domain to the registrant.

Thanks in advance.

Many thanks,

- P D -

PrimeDNR,

That simple.

- Create retail account, let's say "customer01" and assign password.
- go to your reseller account, register the domain name and push it to "customer01" account.
- if payment is completed by your client, give him/her the customer01 account.

You don't have to worry about the credit card issue.

Hope this help you for more technical guide visit www.needguide.com site.

Cheers,
tw.

I think Prime DNR wants to issue a RR access account to his client, not a retail account.

So, what DNR wants to do, is use his own credit card to reg a domain thru (DNR's) RR and then pass the RR domain-specific PW to his client. DNR does not want to open a retail account for customer.

A credible issue then arises at renewal time. If the customer does not have access to a credit card how does s/he renew the domain name?

DNR could offer to renew the domain name via the same method he registered it in the first place (in exchange for HK money passed to him in alternatively).

The only issue with this is that DNR would have to watch for customer's domain expiration date and warn the customer in time to a) collect the money using their alternate arrangement and b) have enough time to renew the domain WHICH IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN RESIDES in list list of domains under MY DOMAINS (DNR's master reseller account).

MY RR registered domains show up in my list so if necessary I could keep track of expiring domains and inform the owner.

Don't your RR registered domains show up in your MY DOMAIN list? Apparently they can be renewed using your balance or whatever refill method.

Exactly, thanks Traffic Monster RR.

Is it OK if the client has a credit card?
Can the customer click renew and charge my card? I meant I registered it using my card previously.

Extractly, TrafficMonsterRR. Thanks!

Good point.

I don't know whether I can refill it with my balance:confused:
If I click the domain and refill it, will the domain-specific PW changed? (In case of transfer to my account, I have to use the reseller PW)...
Please advise.

All great points DNR. To the best of my knoweledge:

RR does not store your card anywhere similarly to a "shopping cart" account.

Others PLEASE CONFIRM THIS.

I have never renewed a customer's domain with my balance but technically one should be able to as the domains are listed alongside with my OWN domains. I suspect just about the only thing we CAN't do is do a reistrar transfer without the owners consent (I mean without breaking the law :(

Others?

Thx again PrimeDNR for bringing these up.

I can offer some technical help here if needed. Especially for ENOM, though I know some stuff from other registry too.

Just a quick note here,
tw.
