i really hate to be negative but feel i need to express myself on this .es "landrush"

this has been an absolute joke! and to think we have 3 more days of this crap.

i hope that the .es registry is truly embarrassed by this.

i will bite my tongue in hopes that everything is sorted out by tonight and the rest of the "landrush" goes much smoother.

I ordered some .es-domains (among them some which should be released today) but they still show as "free" in nic.es-WHOIS database...

Can you explain this, thanks.

hi, I had a look into our mailpharser. with my crapy spanish I could read/understand that there are confirmation emails, and emails that indicated that more then one order is for a domain. It could be the reason why you still see your ordered domain as free. It is on my huge todo list for tomorrow.

for the moment I do not have light for this. but the only one explanation that I have is, that it is perhaps a forbidden name. But until now I do not know about forbidden names in the spanish namespace.
Or there are more then 1 application for this domain, but normally it is first-come-first-served.
I will check this tomorrow, I noticed already some of this names.

We could submit all names, I dont know how % exactly we did, but what I see is by crossing the accounts is 30% to 50% depending on the quality of the names. High value names are always hard to get, big competition. Sorry to hear that you did not got until now any names.

It was not the best start until now, and I will try to get a chat with a responsible person on the ICANN meeting in Vancouver. But I want to say what I always say, if you reg 100 names and only 1 pay out the rest with in 1 year, you have pure profit in the second year.

Just want to clarify a bit, we accepted only 1 preorder per name, the second preorder was at a different registrar. Who will get the name, I will try to find out tomorrow.
But I just read that there are also other possibilities: It could be a pending name. That means there is already an application from the sunrise periode where still questions are about the Trademark.

actually when it says that the name has a queu is because you can hand register them at nic.es you do not need to pay right away it simply puts them on hold for you so if the first one is like that means that the person registred it by hand.
try yourself to register a stupid name starting with an A you wont need to pay nowhere but the name will be on hold for you.
After that you receive an email with the payment details.

forgot: by the way 2 yrs ago the best domain I got under the .com.es I manually regged them. I regged something like juegos.com.es and xxx.com.es etc...

I have seen that some names have been pre ordered by over 120 people. Does this mean that it has been pre regged by 120 seperate registrars?? I did not know that there were that many registrars supplying the .es tld??

Lets hope that tomorrow goes a bit better than today and we get some decent catches.

I did warn you guys about how eurodns has a 1/25 shot for the most premium names. Lots of whining i see. omg only 1 out o5 . thats a 20% success ratio, which is good. Although I have no domains backordered at Eurodnsm, I would like to wish freddy luck.

I would also like to step up and say quit busting his balls. He is the only registrar on here helping us out the entire way. There are many, and lots of compitition. He doesn't need to be here. I don't see you whinning about other registrars. Get over it and be happy with the names you got.

excuse me, but do you see many registrars or people on their behalf actually *trying* to assist or even comment here???
Freddy has gone beyond what duty calls to assist people here, so your statement is illogical at best.
