.es domains: "No se puede renovar por haber excedido el plazo máximo de pago"

Hello all

I hope someone can advise me on this.

One of my .es domain names is about to expire. When I try to renew it (via nic.es) I keep getting the message: "No se puede renovar por haber excedido el plazo máximo de pago".

I have tried to get around this by transferring the domain to a registrar to see if that will automatically renew it... I'm currently waiting to see if the transfer will go through.

Have any of you received this message before?

Do you know how I can get around it?
