well, you're an exclusive so have access to all parts of forum
just about any domain question or discussion you can think of has been covered, so best to seek out answers
best advice to anyone starting out is read, read, then read some more
tbh, the search function on dnf sucks bigtime unfortunately
so sometimes is easier to pose question or topic on google with dnforum.com and find threador another

Looking at comparable sales + experience and gut feeling are among the best ways to appraise names.
In general, the names that do sell are quality or brandable. Not always, but most of the time.
The learning curve (and it can take a long time) is about understanding what makes a quality name.
Yet many sales are one of a kind too. So looking at reported sales is not always a good indication of possible value. Just because a domain sold once in a given extension doesn't mean you can easily repeat the feat in another extension.
Besides, an appraisal is purely theoretical. I can tell you your names are possibly worth mid $$$ if an end user was to approach you one day - that doesn't mean there is a likelihood that would happen.
It is unfortunate that so many people are starting out with bad education. Domaining is full of traps and automated appraisal tools are among them. At worst estibot will tell your names is worth regfee but often more - so as a newbie you'll think you have nothing to lose. Well, you are only piling up dirt that will never sell. The only winners are the registrars and the credit card issuers.
To sum up, if you have ever used estibot in the beginning of your domaining journey the first step is to unlearn before you can learn.

Yes use Estibot for the stats and to see which tld's are taken besides the .com
For some domains like techGorilla estibot might say regfee but in your brain you think this is a great name.
