Yes, modeling, cosmetics would be perfect. Stay away from the social stuff. No money in it anyway.

I think a digital face recognition software company would pay you more than $1M for it - it is THE name for their industry - and with all the government contracts flying around for this technology, someone has the cash to buy it.

Congrats on acquiring face.com!

I was one of your silent competitors trying to buy this name. You offered more and deserved it!

I'm thinking upper six digits to the right buyer. Update us on the traffic if you will.

Traffic has been 1500 unique in 9 hours... Also this was during late hours in the USA (of which 90% of the traffic is North American). Therefore, I think 3,000 to 4,000 uniques a day.

Cheers guys

I don't see the problem with using this as a social bookmarking site, this is a very generic term, with no chance of tm issues.

That's not good advice imo. Avoid TMs (eg uspto.gov 3122052). Why risk losing such a great name. It's annoyingly good!

upper xxx,xxx for face.com, very nice name.

'facebook' is a generic term by the way, and they've been around in print format for years at universities, so I don't see how they can tm the name 'facebook' for facebook purposes. Would be like if there were a site selling Apples called apples.com, and someone came along and used 'GreenApples.com' to sell apples online. Same with 'yearbook.com' and 'highschoolyearbook.com', how can you tm a generic name when it's being used for the same generic purpose?
