It's a million dollar name. There's an end-user out there with the cash for that name. You'd be nuts to wholesale it. As other posters have pointed out; there's biometrics and cosmetics, and probably another cash-rich potential punter we haven't even thought of that has an ideal home for this gem. I'd renew it for as long as possible; park it, then go on a long holiday.

'facebook' is a generic term by the way, and they've been around in print format for years at universities, so I don't see how they can tm the name 'facebook' for facebook purposes.
They already have. It's a registered mark. 3122052. That takes nothing away from this outstanding name though. I've already given it God status.
Selling to a face recognition company is the best suggestion by far - definitely $1mm+
Until that day comes, how about leasing sub-domains? I haven't seen many threads about the idea but this name is a prime candidate:
beautiful.face.com - cosmetics company
my.face.com - could be like hotornot.com
inya.face.com - perfect for a mixed martial arts site
butter.face.com - ugly chicks with nice bods
I'm sure there are a ton more. So what's the concensus, could this work as a short/long term way to monetize the name?
I like the concept of the site, very smart. Traffic is not that good IMO they are looking at facebook and usually this kind of traffic its very hard to monetize.
I think its worth between 500 and 700K.
Really a great name congrats
