I have a Facebook cooking group that has had a few "bumps" in membership growth, and recently it has experienced one of those bumps. It is currently over 166,000 members, with 100s, and close to a 1000 requesting to join per day. Well I started asking for email addresses to the questions field and then I select the text from the 100's of members and add it to a website that takes the email addresses out of that text and then I paste them into the backoffice of my newsletter. I then can send out newsletters at any time I choose. Today I send out my first email to the list of over 2300 emails that I gathered this week.
The domain names amishrecipes.com and amish.co are being used in this project.
Also I should note that when people buy the cookbook, they can do so on Amazon but I started selling them on Paypal where I get the funds right away and then I order it with my discount from Amazon and have it shipped to them.
