I think DrWho is giving a reseller valuation, which if you multiply up by 5 or whatever, comes out in line with many of the other appraisals, many of which I assume are "end-user" appraisals, rather than the more common reseller appraisals given here most of the time.

For example, looking at the appraisal of "$1,000 - $2,500 in today's market." I'm assuming that no-one here would buy fear.net at that price in order to sell on, unless of course they already have a buyer for it. (I may be wrong of course.)

There is always clearly going to be a huge difference between the reseller value and end-user value of a domain, and I would therefore continue to encourage people to indicate which of the two valuations they are giving.
