I run 2 sites.

www.spudleykingdom.com

Which selle home spa products (my fiancee makes them) and electronics (dropshipping).

And www.GambleWhiz.com

Which is a gambling portal with forums, articles,... I'm still working on that one as i just opened it.

Now i just wanted to see what people thought of them and if they had any ideas as to how to draw more traffic. My store gets ~100 visits a day mostly through overture, nextag and google adwords but isn't selling anything.

As for the gambling site, well the hope is to make money through casino affiliation links and hoping that the content/forums will draw people and build a community but getting people there in the first place will be the problem.

Thanks.

get a SEO to optimize your pages and to reach higher ratings in search engines.
or you can do it yourself by reading many online forums that talk about it.

I'd put a banner on the front page with kingdom in smaller letters than Spudleys. Get rid of the casino link - it gives a bad impression if you are trying to sell home products. Put at least one picture of a spa on the page - who knows what you are selling at first glance. Add a sales or info. message as well. You need a quick hook to get surfers to click through to the second page.

I struggled to know what to do when I looked through the site and gave up after just a few pages.

Have you thought of doing some usability testing? Work out a test plan, get some individuals in off the street, get them to perform some tasks on your site, and observe the way they navigate through your site.

I would suggest getting rid of the page counter.
How many major business sites do you know of that contain a page counter?

Use your log files or get an invisible counter :)

Cheers!
