It is from Niue, it's an island.
The domain is particularly popular in Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Belgium, as the word in Danish, Swedish and Dutch for "now" is nu.

But as said interesting because of the nu in other countries as well. I live in Belgium, but would go for a dutch name combined with .nu. Otherwise you are mixing 2 languages.

Niue is what we call in the netherlands a 'belastingparadijs', I don;'t know the exact word in english but it would be something like 'taxparadise' or 'fiscal paradise'.
They have low or in some cases no tax.

Hmm.. Opinions are very variable.
It is more or less developped but I don't think this site is going to stay because it does not make it more worth
