Your opinions please.
Which domain name do you all like best for a tv show related forum site?

TVfolks.com

TVwas.com

TV-wiki.com

I'm not looking for appraisals, not looking to sell anything, just want your opinions.
I'm trying to decide which brand to develop.
So what do you like and what does it say to you?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

None. TVwiki without a hyphen would have been superb.

Unless you are personally and emotionally attached to these, I would recommend continuing to search for catchy combos on drops or a name suggestion tool.

If I had to choose one of the 3 I would go for the first one, TVfolks.

You could also consider grabbing a .TV extension domain

If you're looking for a dotcom LLLL with TV in it, maybe I can help, follow my sig

Thanks to you both.

mmerlin, you raise an interesting point.
I own both: TVwas.com and TVwas.tv but am reluctant to use .tv instead of .com

For now I'm going to use the LLLLL.com of TVwas.com just figuring that 5 characters are better than 7.

What other suffixes do you buy when you plan on actually developing a new site?
Typically I buy at least: .com .net .org
but I'm not wealthy, so buying very many suffixes for very many root domains is out of the question.

Best Wishes

I'd stick with com/net/org and maybe a .us.

To answer your 2nd question - it largely depends on what you are going to use the site for. Its hard to say if "folks/was/wiki" is actually relevant given your site.

I'd suggest looking through some keyword tools (i.e. Google) and check out some relevant keywords to your particular niche. Then go back and see if the domains are available. Hope this helps.

tv folks is my vote - but i would search a little more before you commit to the name

I would not choose any of them.

+1 for tvfolks. but like another poster said, you could try checking for .tv domains... there's probably some good ones available still for reg fee

If you're going to do regular promotions/advertising, get a .tv extension.

TVFolks.com if there's no other option.
