I always appreciated that he would check this forum and address individual issues. I hope Moniker doesn't give me reason to move.

Leaving with cash in his pocket and a smile on his face.

Good fortune Monte...you are one of the original good guys.:ok:
You and your team ran Moniker like your baby for many years and it showed.

Hope some of that stays with the now complete Oversee takeover...:uhoh::worried:

I don't want to have to move my names out after moving them in...

i rate Monte very highly indeed. not only an extremely intelligent guy, and very accomplished before he even entered industry
when he did enter industry it was at the start and he helped build much of what we know now
one of the visionaries people talk about
sad day to see him leave
tbh Moniker was way better before oversee took over
i dislike oversee tbh
Monte and Bari were only things keeping me at Moniker

put it this way. if you start another registrar, email or pm me which one you've started or bought and i'll move my names there. seriously

i don't feel as safe with oversee twats at the helm

It looks like its game over at Moniker.

What is the most customer friendly registrar now?

You could see this coming...

Good Luck Monte... :yo:

This is expected. Once a new management takeover, all employees will be retained for a year or so, and when things get stabilized, you leave. Probably part of an agreement to maintain control, after-sale support. Just a world of business.

IMO...
Best interface: Dynadot
Best support: Name.com

Monte is one of the best people I have dealt with, a real pro.

Best of luck, Monte!

:)

A shame, if somewhat predictable/inevitable. Echoing other's statements - where to now for my portfolio?

Wow, I might stop moving domains from GoDaddy to Moniker. I really trust(ed) them.

I got locked out of my account once and thought it was fraud and somebody here gave me his email address (and other Moniker employees). He was the first person to get back to me and went back and forth on his Blackberry with me until the problem was resolved. At the time I had less than 20 domains there - a complete nobody, and he did that. Really awesome.

Now half my portfolio is there and all of my x,xxx+ domains. How do I know I'm going to have that same level of service if I have problems???

Why are all of you people freaking out? There is no need to move your domains from Moniker.

Service has not been the same in the last 6 months imho...not freaking out, just taking a watch and see position at this time.

Probably not but there is no particular reason to keep them there either.

There is no reason not to have them at a dozen registrars....

Not having a reason not to keep them there is not good enough for my best domains. I need to KNOW and TRUST they are 100% secure. Knowing I could email the CEO directly with any problems gave me that trust with Moniker.

The closest thing I have now is Fabulous, probably going to move things there as they expire at Moniker.

There is a cell available next to Bernie Madoff

A big part of my success is due to Monte and Moniker.

I am grateful for all.

Go-Daddy is the one that is most convenient. That is the one registrar where you can do the most business. Many people don't like to buy from people who have names at other registrars, so the one you need no matter what is Go-Daddy. They may not be perfect, but they are fine, and if you want to do the most business you need your names there.
