I'm still comfortable with Moniker.

GoDaddy is OK, but I don't do alot of business there.

Moniker has good prices for .net and .org, and a nice search across many TLD.
Enom used to have that search and got rid of it.

Moniker also allows you to search several keywords at once, which you cannot do
at godaddy or enom.

Monte is laughing all the way to the Bank.... and he deserves it.

Have always respected Monte and how he's conducted himself. I've never seen him act in any manor
other than professional. " Bari " is my insider at Moniker but I do need to concur with the sentiments
regarding the level of support quality recently.

I'm actually excited to see what will be Monte's next venture. Here's to the consummate
gentleman in our industry

Best interface is dynadot? Surely this is a joke?

Nope....they have a kickass interface. But so do a number of other registrars.
But for ease of domain management, subfolders, transfers and changing nameservers etc Dynadot is well laid out
and easy to use. Just my 2 cents.

Go-Daddy is the one that is most convenient.

  • If you consider having to use coupon codes to get a somewhat decent price convenient.
  • If you consider having to maneuver thru pages of offers at each checkout convenient.

Many people don't like to buy from people who have names at other registrars, so the one you need no matter what is Go-Daddy. They may not be perfect, but they are fine, and if you want to do the most business you need your names there.

Never had any problems selling names regged at any of the major registrars in twelve years.
Most of them are pushes into new accounts at those registrars.

yeah Poker no joke eh?

....More good things to say about Monte...
"From time to time people matter in new media, and news of key staff exiting the building have been heard everywhere. Reverberations being felt through the world of domainers as Monte Cahn of Moniker is leaving the inheritor organization “Oversee) as of the end December this year. Cahn has been the called the “hardest working guy in domains”.

Tweeting birds say Monte is a big time person in the industry and “was” Moniker. More twitters claim that Cahn invented big time domain name auctions and has personally sold most of the $1,000,000 plus domains there. We’re sure he’ll be back somewhere, it’s not uncommon for the acquiring company (Oversee.net), who bought Moniker, to keep management on, and then after the initial term of employment they go their separate ways."

Monte is one of the best people I have had the pleasure of working with. I am sure his new ventures will also be successful. I am sure we haven't heard the last of him.

Oversee, Moniker, and SnapNames now look like their websites have been built by an amateur. Acro was right in saying that they've more-or-less trashed the brands when they nixed their memorable logos.
