Just transfer away before renewal date.

OVH also has 1€ / 1 pound domain transfers with no limit in the number of transfers. You can transfer in and after 2 months or more transfer away, the authcode can easily be located in their panel and the domain can be unlocked same way.

The price is available at OVH websites from france, uk, spain, portugal, poland and maybe others
