This is just my .02

I looked at your site and I was turned away very quickly, there is no color! It is very plain. We had gray tone sites a while back and we did not do much in sales back then. We have since switched to earth tones (greens, blues and so on) and sales have jumped a bunch!

Dark colors tend to make people think the business is "sleeping" per say. I think you are in a very good line of business these days and I just though I would inform you what I see as a consumer going to your site. Thanks for your time and please don't take this as a put down, just a word of advice from one business owner to another.

Thank you for your suggestion. I've been considering changing the colors around, and I think I'm going to go ahead and do it. If you'd like to make further suggestions about colors, please do so - I could use as much help with this as I can get. Thanks again!

No problem at all. I have noticed in browsing the web that earth color tones, mainly shades of blues and greens are indeed very popular which is why we went with these types of colors. A good idea is to go to major template sites and view their top sellers, take in what colors most of the top sellers are (most will have blues as it seems to be the hot color right now).

Simple white backgrounds are also easy on the eyes and of course you want to build brand so a logo with some life in it that stands out is a good idea as well. Most importantly, color is GREAT but don't go overkill ... mixing too many colors can also be just as bad as having no color at all.

Make sure whatever you do all the colors flow with each other. You may even consider doing 3 different layouts and putting them all up to let customers choose which they like better and see what your end result is and then take down all layouts but the best.

Good luck with it! Let me know how it goes, I would love to come check the site out when it is done.
