What is everyone's opinion on including free products with the sale of a domain?

For example, if a domain sells for over $1,000 include a free 1 year Powerhouse gym membership.

For domains costing less than $999 including a free ipod/iphone.

sorry to say, but if you have to give away stuff to help sell your names then...


maybe give discounts for multiple domain purchases, but why spend more for toys?

unfortunatly, your demographics would be those that would have to save up their lunch money and possibly borrow a bit from mom and dad to close a deal.

The demographics you want to target are end-users (business owners/corporations) and investors/domainers. For these target customers/buyers, unless it is something that would increase in value and eventually turn a profit, the chances are very slim to none.

If anything, a deal would almost always result in them asking you to exclude the product for a discount greater then your already inflated "retail value" of the item.

I vote you stick with the domain only. If you want to add or include anything with the purchase, make it a logo, website, traffic, or even extra names.

Keep it a simple and clean sale. Domain only. What if the ipod you gave them was defective? Who's responsible for shipping it back, getting it repaired, etc etc. Just sell the names.
