Regrettably due to other projects I have decided to offer FreeIB.com for sale. FreeIB.com currently hosts over 1300 forums. FreeIB.com offer free bannerless hosting and automated Invision Board installation.

The site has an Alexa Rank of 213,000 though this is expected to rise over the coming months, as our daily page rank is considerably higher. The site receives on average of 220,000 – 240,000 hits per day and around 3000 unique visits. The site has a Google PR of 5/10 which is very good (Homepage).

The site layout was a custom design.

Revenue

Adsense: My Adsense earnings are grouped with many sites so it’s difficult to gauge exact earnings (I’m guessing $5 + each day)

Advertising: We have only recently implemented Advertising on the site, we have added 4 text cell adds to each of the forums we host which could be sold (Currently used to advertise my sites).

In addition to this banners have been installed on all none member pages, Homepage, Support forums etc.

Donations: This month I have received $35 in donation from FreeIB.com members.


The hosted forums:

There is an Admin Control Panel to control the forums. You can delete any forum, turn any forum offline, take admin of any board (for support), the ability to mass mail all forum owners, and also many other misc. features.

There is feature in the Admin CP to edit the global board wrapper. So you can easily add or remove advertisements from all boards at once.

Currently, there is advertisements that are on the member forum pages are: one 4-cell text ad block & one Amazon.com affiliate search box.

Yep, they do appear to be down with "too many connections" mySQL errors.

Yes FreeIB.com is down today. We are working on moving the site to a larger server. Hopefully will be up again shortly.

what are the licensing issues associated with providing InvisionBoard to many people for free or for a fee?

Yes, currently there is a small problem currently. This is the first time it is happened, and its due to the extreme growth of the forums.

We are looking to get this fixed soon.

Licensing: You can offer free or fee-based hosting. You can NOT sell the Invision script, or alter it and redistribute.
