Tip: If you want to buy a domain name from a domain investor, do not start dialogue with "you are not using the domain". You might be wrong. - Bill Sweetman

I thought that was really funny. Most people always assume domain investors don't use half the domains they own. It may not be parked or developed but that doesn't mean the owner doesn't have plans for it.

I like the offers that start with I can’t afford to pay you much, it reminds me a bit of that Simpsons scene where Mr Burns Says:

Mr. Burns: Ah, yes. Naturally, I can't pay you much of a reward because I'm strapped for cash.
(The ceiling above gives way; money and jewels pour down on him.)
Mr. Burns: As you can see, this old place is falling apart. But I'm sure we can come to an understanding.

Who knows maybe they are “strapped for cash”, but perhaps not as much as they are making out. At least most of us don’t have to deal with each other face to face and listen to the other sucking their teeth, just like when you deal with a builder. LOL, it’s all good fun.

I think domainers are notoriously believed to command high prices for their domains. It isn't a wonder when they start with the "strapped for cash" pitch lol
