I passed on gelatine.net for $24 on ebay about a year ago.

That owner was desperate for trying to sell it for $24. Gelatin is definitely worth more than that.

However, it may be the .net extension that's not so favorable on that sale of Gelatine.net. Although some .net domains do sell, the .net extension is like an orphan without a home and hasn't found it's true home on the internet. Even Rick Schwartz said that the new extensions like .info, .us, and .biz may do better than .net in the long run.
