I don't think "NFT" domains other than nftprices, nfts, nftcharts, nftcollectables, bestnfts, and a select few others will be winners here and everything else we see is very speculative. We'll likely see all these +"nft"+ domains on drop lists, as we're seeing with a lot of other trends like "drones" now that may work but are decades ahead, in the coming year to two.

An NFT can be anything digital.

With that said, practically any domain can be used for an NFT and I believe it's better to be brandable or specific in this case.

I personally wouldn't develop an NFT on top of even keyword+NFT, rather anything.obscure as that is easier to remember than prefixing/affixing NFT to a name. I'm actually in the consideration process of bringing back an old text based RPG that I developed in middle school (1999ish) to an NFT or seeing if there's still a niche market for it to remain text today (as it was fairly explosive then), but it's on a brandable name and I certainly wouldn't name it MechaNFT over -Strike.

Couldn't disagree more. I've already done about 5-figures in sales with less than 2 months hold time, and have several in negotiations which I fully expect to close. (Keep in mind, I work for a big name in the Crypto industry so I came with some knowledge on the best keywords to grab, however.. I wouldn't sleep on these).

So, I guess it depends on what your benchmark for it being a "Winner" is.

The fact that 'anything' can be an NFT, is exactly why we will see the keyword "NFT" being applied to countless businesses, applications, projects, platforms.. very similar to the keyword "Coin", or even "Bit" or "Block"

Highly doubt you will ever see anyone referring to an NFT as a "Coin" or "Crypto" and "Token" is already a part of the abbreviation so it would be redundant to say "NFT Token". While it's technically a part of the same space, the distinction from the rest of the crypto world will be critical.

The keyword NFT is already what the mainstream is adopting to define them, and exactly what will be needed & used to differentiate it's purpose and use case. Not to mention with regards to the SEO and having visibility on social-media, the groundwork is already being laid there.

For instance: Articles about Beeple and his 69 million dollar sale are describing it as "NFT Art", but how many people do you really think know what Christie's is because of this news? Especially if you were to ask them a couple of months down the road.

You'd have a much slower time marketing and scaling "Strike", than you would "MechaNFT", whether or not "Strike" sounds cooler. Additionally, NFT-Games are a great idea! (Definitely bring back your RPG). There are things like Axie-Infinity and Animoca Brands you can check out as a good reference for what's going on in that particular space.

In this application, your game/project/business itself would not be an "NFT" in and that of itself, rather the items/collectibles/armor/weapons - whatever particular "things" within your game, would be NFTs.

The space hasn't even gotten into the physical applications a lot yet as it is so new and focused heavily on art/gaming.. just wait until we actually see them being used for deeds to homes, titles to cars, and other cases of proof of ownership.

"Bitcoin" is over 12 years old, and despite the amount of adoption + where the market is today, is still mistakenly as an umbrella term for Blockchain as a whole.

Thanks for your feedback, @NFTDom, and great to your success. I feel that it's going to be long-lived as a trend, much like -drone names that are not applicable to the technology that can be applied today.

Almost every domain that Namebio has captured as a sale can be set in the "winner" category. I've witnessed no names near 5-figures to even judge whether that's accurate or whether they have gone anywhere but to others that have got on the hype train (like drones, etc.).

As far as "MechaNFT" over "Strike", I would counter with: CryptoKitties (edit: it also has archives going back to 2003 which can tell a story of it going back to 2000 on another domain but first being opened on a subdomain prior to that -- so it's better due to the historical value that has sentiment to me to make it what it once was).

The space hasn't even gotten into the physical applications a lot yet as it is so new and focused heavily on art/gaming.. just wait until we actually see them being used for deeds to homes, titles to cars, and other cases of proof of ownership.

Exactly what I was referring to as being the 'winners' with my list, but I cannot go exhaustive and list 100 domains that will already be registered, to include nftdeeds/nfthomes. But to say that nfthomesinflorida will be worth more than reg fee is somewhat insane and is backed by my statement of drone names and every other trend with domain names that has come along in the last 15 years that I have actively been buying and selling names. Also, you might want to look into Nike's naming of their NFT for proof of ownership.

Maybe NFT can be the one exception to all trend names though. Who knows?

Good luck, but it's not a space for me; and for that reason, I'm out.

Moved to a new thread as to not get off topic from those who wish to showcase NFT domains in a positive manner.

Both positive and negative NFT domain name discussion can take place here while I believe the sole focus on the other thread should be positive, to showcase NFT domains, and to discuss what others have invested in.

My apologies for running things off course. Staff members are not above the community members so please feel free to report our threads/posts at any time so we can take the appropriate action based upon the report instead of letting it run too long to where we notice the mistakes ourselves.

I don't see anything available really.

The more I try to get used to the NFT trend, the more strange it seems to me. Hope I'm not missing out on something very big.

.coms and .ios are Pretty much gone.

There's a good bit of other TLDs available though, definitely. (especially gTLDs)

Guess I needed special knowledge to get in early. ☹️

There's a 3-hour six-part series that found millions in illegal offshore gambling money in NFTs, primarily Punks and Penguins. But, they're funneling their crypto earnings in through NFTs and washing them for other cryptos, and cashing out on exchanges.

It's gonna hurt for some people when regulation kicks in...

Not really news & has very little to do with the space as a whole.

If they are cashing funds out on exchanges, they are already subject to KYC, and AML regulations.

Frankly, you're better off just using cash to commit crimes.. rather than anything in Crypto (including NFTs) which is all on an open ledger and publicly trackable.

Global search interest for 'NFT' surpasses 'crypto' for the first time ever

Cointelegraph Research predicts that nonfungible token sales could eclipse $17.7 billion by the end of 2021

A better graph comparing topics instead of search terms.

While it's open ledger, it's "he said she said" when it comes to washing with NFTs.

Say someone mints 1000 NFTs with 1 ETH. They now can sell 1000 NFTs for 10 ETH each to, well, themselves. This could easily be done by 1 person or group of people with real identities/wallets as they would be so far removed from the illegal online casinos.

They mint 1000, sell themselves NFTs, and walk with walk cash from exchanges with the money when they're sold again to an unsuspecting party later on at a higher valuation.

They lose money doing it this way, but all money laundering has some washing fees.

No, it is not "he said she said".. regardless of the number of wallets involved, or amount of NFTs minted, you are still dealing with an open ledger.

You are also severely underestimating chainalysis and compliance departments if you think they are not privy to this kind of activity.

What you're describing is one of those things that sounds good on paper - but realistically is so risky and expensive that only truly stupid criminals would attempt to use it as a method of washing funds.

You are literally better off trying to launder money via iTunes giftcards.
