Lots of generic single word .CLUB domains dropping recently.

I guess domain investors are not getting offers or selling these.

Anyone else noticed this?

The extension saw big growth during the pandemic when Clubhouse was big. Remember that platform?

Doesn't seem as popular now that GD bought it.

very interesting resource.. huhhh.. yes, it seems .club domains are really being dropped.. maybe a single investor is behind it? .. or, the registry itself starting dropping some pre-registered domains?

yes, years ago .club very advertising like crazy > and the results were there. now.. hmmm... haven't seen .club ads at all.. :) well, we do have dnforum.club :) .. love this TLD!!

What is the buyer pool for .CLUB domains?

I mean I own good Keyword + Club .COM domains that get offers.

I don't see .CLUB domains getting bought but maybe as defensive move?

Some of the names dropping are actually decent words. I think people are just getting tougher on renewals when the buyer pool is narrow.

All investors drops from what I can tell.

I think they are just giving up trying to sell these .CLUB domains.

I think the real buyers are actual clubs and community businesses. Someone already on KeywordClub.com probably isn’t picking up the .club unless they actually have a reason to use it.
@nicenic noticed two mentions of you as well there :) ... at https://ntldstats.com/registrar .. is the data correct there in the regards to new gltd domains?
The first NiceNIC is us 😇 The numbers can be a little different from what we see on our side though. They’re based on ICANN's monthly reports, so there's always some lag.

Thought so :) Congratulations on continuous success!! :) And see you soon in BangKok!!!

It works as a fun extension but I think most still opt for .ORG.

Colin and the original .CLUB team sold at exactly the right time.

Look at these .CLUB stats. Used to be over 1+ million registrations.

.org is a totally different animal.. more for NGOs.

yes, this is what a sale of an asset can do - tank the numbers.. or raise these up.. all probably up to strategy, sales team, ambition of the new owners, and element of luck is important as well :)

.. checked the top registrars > top 4 are the US ones.. American companies rule the top 4 spots.
