Didn't find out until after I registered this drop that every (StateName)RealEstate domain in .com .net and .org is taken for all 50 States. Any value ideas?

Sounds like you might know who the buyer is already Duke?
Whoever regged the rest of the state|RealEstate dn's.
It wouldn't surprise me that one person or entity owns the majority of them. Maybe they've never heard of sub domains ;)
The .org is workable but for RealEstate???
$15-$45
JMHO
Good Luck!

Actually NC, real estate is one of three major for-profit industries in which .org is extremely popular. For competitive reasons I won't name the other two (I've got enough competition there already). The common thread in these industries is they want to appear to be based on goodwill and "being your friend" rather than being seen as a crass commercial entity. .org works perfectly for them in achieving the image they want and I have had a lot of success selling to them, usually in the mid 3-figure range.

This is fairly common knowledge among people working this field. To furthur illustrate my point I did a spot check on the owners of some of the other (StateName)RealEstate.orgs and they are all owned by different people, so there is no Lone Ranger at work here. It is a good illustration of why people should concentrate on areas they know very well when buying domains. You can often find some bargains that the general community overlooks.

There are more than a few people on this forum who are well aware of this market (the lousy b*stards frequently beat me to good names :) ) . Namepopper, just to name one, has built a virtual career on it (and just recently sold his 200th domain this year!). As far as reading about it in DNJ, stay tuned - something's in the works right now (however I value my health, so I don't think I'll be giving away all the details). :)

Right, I am well aware of that too, having talked about the way the public trusts an org over other extensions and the org gives credibility, a major benefit!

BTW, Duke, did you see many good real estate names in .US, or they are all taken too? What do you think of .us realty names vs com net org etc? Do you think a name like northcarolinarealestate.us would be as good, better or worse than say net org biz info?

P.S. Is the name for sale and price if so?

I agree Duke - We have sites up as .orgs for Insurance, Real Estate, State Search Sites, Health Care, Etc. - They are all well respected and get good traffic. On GeorgiaRealEstate.org - Great name - you are right on them all being gone for all states - We have sold a number of them over the years to Realtor Associations and MLS services in the .orgs ( no realtor words - TM) Also Realty works - ie, FloridaRealty.org, etc. Good Job on this one. Steve

Bingo! :D
Nice, rare find here Duke! $150 - $225 (wholesale) now, surely to increase $$ as demand outpaces supply. Keep up the good work.
Good Luck.

I find hardly any .US real estate related names available RN. The extension is obviously a natural for real estate. Only time will tell how it will stack up against the original 3 but indications are it will do very well in this field. I'll PM you about this specific name.

By the way, I just got this one for virtual real estate today:

WebRealEstate.org

Taken in all extensions too and most of those are developed. Thinking of keeping it and making it a directory of sites offering domains for sale.

WebRealEstate.org is a valuable name, especially if developed for a directory of sites (as you said) or for offering a property listing service on the Web, like a FSBO listing service.

P.S. Are you a Realtor or otherwise in real estate? Just wondering.

No RN, I have no connection to the Real Estate business - I just recognize that it is a good market. Most of the developed sites for other extensions of WebRealEstate are FSBO style listing services. If I decide to sell it I would probably be better off looking in that direction - but since I have so many friends in the domain reselling business it would be easy for me to develop a directory site to highlight those businesses too.

By the way I PM'ed you on GeorgiaRealEstate.org.

Aren't most realtor organizations, like "Board of Realtors", county based? I am wondering who would fund the promotion of RE on a state-wide basis, when the money to be made here (at least in residential) is had on a local level.

Every state has various statewide realtors organizations, like this one for Georgia:

Georgia Association of Realtors

Statewide names are also commonly used for directories to local realtors throughout the state for those moving into a new state. CPiSites already mentioned these as customers they have sold similar names to.

Not really County based but local associations which may overlap as far as cities and counties go, or cover multiple areas.

Some people looking to buy or sell may type-in Georgia Real Estate or Georgia Multiple Listing Service, and names similar to that either directly into their browser address window or using a SE, though they are mostly interested in a local area.

Haven't you noticed from Dr Who's past appraisals RealNames? His keyboard is broken. Only the zero key works. :)
