Anyone go through the experience of trying to get an EPP/Authorization Code from EuroDNS lately?

I initiated a transfer 4 days ago, but received no code. I've since put in a ticket...updated that ticket hours later, then opened another ticket yesterday, all to no avail.

I've heard bad things in the past about EuroDNS and releasing names, but this is ridiculous. I have the name lined up to go to auction, but I can't deliver it if I can't get the code for them!

Very frustrating.

They don't have great organization..not the company itself, but they are a confused entity with a lot of bureaucracy. You have to remind them to do things 3 or 4 times before they actually do it. I just wanted to modify a dns of one of my domains and it took like 6 weeks. It was for a .sk tld by the way..They have to do it..i can't.

The only other way is to know someone on the inside?

Why know someone on the inside?

Just vote with your feet, I have the same issues here, currently transfering out the balance of my dot asia's and the rest can stay and drop after which i will close the account.

Apparently .it domains don't have epp/auth codes...hence he reason I never received one. However, a transfer out from EuroDNS-->Moniker is not working, and the name is stuck in 'pending' status, so I can't even get it transferred internally....and back to support I go. :|

Hey Jhansen

What do you mean Moniker is not working? Anything I can assist with?

Hi Bari,

Thank you for the offer.

When I go to 'transfer domains', then enter the domain, I am taken to a screen that reads "Domains with Errors", and the following is under that: "(domain name).IT,Transfer-IN Not Supported for tld: .IT".

I contacted support about this (actually I contacted sales...oops?), and was first told (by sales) that .IT was not supported at all by Moniker...when I pointed out that .it is listed in the group when registering names, he checked and confirmed that I should be able to both: 1) Register and furthermore 2) Transfer In .IT names.

He offered to put in a ticket to support, which was done, but it has yet to be addressed.

:(

For a .IT I believe you need to request a change of maintainer (MNT).
See http://www.nic.it/en/moduli/moduli.html

Each registrar (maintainer) has a TAG a bit like the UK registrars, list: http://www.nic.it/cgi-bin/MList/index.cgi?lang=en_GB&letter=M

.IT is very bureaucratic and I'm not even sure Moniker actually handles incoming transfers for that extension. Good luck.

Thanks for the info sdsinc, I never imagined a few years ago there would be so much involved when it actually came to sell these names!
