GoDaddy Buys SmartName.com

My GoDaddy account executive confirmed that GoDaddy has purchased SmartName.com, but it doesn't seem like they have any plans to do anything with it. Here is the content of his email explaining the relationship between GoDaddy and SmartName.com.

I checked with management and confirmed that Go Daddy is now the parent company but Smartname will continue to operate separately as a subsidiary. We do not currently have any access to any Smartname systems or account information. There may be an integration but that will most likely not occur for another 6-8 months. You will need to contact Smartname support in the meantime to resolve any issues. Sorry I couldn't help you more in this case.
