ICANN has aready approved the introduction of them for future use. If you think about it- the only people it hurts is the domainers. It is very useful to other areas of the market.

I hope it is Google. They would make the website faster and make all sorts of things free - and stop with the garbage upsells. Would go nice with their portfolio of products as well.
