GoDaddy not recongizing expired domain??

I was searching the list of expired domains and saw one I wanted to register. I type it in at GoDaddy and it tells me it's already taken, but when I do a whois, it tells me there is no whois record. So I try a few other registrars and it's available on all of them, but not on GoDaddy.

I'm using GoDaddy because it's relatively cheap and easy to Push, but this could be extremely detrimental to getting the domains I want.

Anyone else experience this problem?

Yeah, all the time. Godaddy availability check isn't "real time".
