So you recieve one exchange on unsuccessfull backorders? or is it unlimited? Not bad to pay $18 for unlimited exchanges. You may just get lucky, and pick the right name that drops when they ping it. But spending $18 for 2 shots, probably isn't worth it.
Going read up on it now.

Unlimited (within 1 year), but they have this stupid rule about reasigning it within 10 days.:D

As you know we are a reseller for wild west domains (godaddy).

I have an email in to one of their guys with some questions about this service and I'll post back here with some responses if they are of value.

In the meantime, if you're going to use/try this service I would appreciate it if you would consider buying your "godaddy snaps" through us.

There is no difference in the cost or the limits. The $18.95 is the minimum they will allow us to sell it for.

Here is a bonus for you:

For every 5 you buy through us I'll register a free name for you through our enom account.

So for example... if you buy 15 backorders you will get 3 free enom orders.

Limitations of offer: The enom domain regs will have a 30 day delay - we need to make sure we get credit for the backorder sale.

The enom reg must be one of the std. lower price regs - .com, .net., .org ----whatever fits into that price teir is fine.

Let me know if you have any questions.

"Snaps"? :)

Larry, I'm pretty sure you sell GoDaddy DomainAlert back-orders and not SnapNames' SnapBack (tm) back-orders, or "Snaps" as they are often called hereabouts . . . :)

It'll be interesting to read GoDaddy's responses.

I've got a half dozen GD Backorders floating out there. If I'd known sooner, I'd have purchased them through you just to help you out. That said, the way things are going it looks like I'll be turning them over and over and over for the full year they're active. I'm skeptical they'll ever get a name for me.

GoDaddy's backorder just got me InFilms.com It had a $62 Namewinner bid and a Snapnames snapback on it. Especially nice as I get my GoDaddy Backorders @ $14.08 with my NameChef discount:D woohoo! it dose work.

GoDaddy did fail on climb.net though

Buy a discount namechef account for $10 and enjoy the discounts!

Glad to hear of an instance where they actually beat Snap. Thanks for the word Sharpy. Haven't tried them myself but if they can do that a few more times might give them a shot.

Great to hear that, you gave me light before I give up :). My godaddy backorder record is 4 loses in a row. But they are good in notifying me immediately after 3pm EST, so I don't need to check the whois records myself. Will see how my 5th attempt goes.

OK, that's two more blazing GoDaddy BackOrder failures today. This is starting to become redundant. I've removed all the BackOrders from On-Hold domains and Redemption Period domains because it's not worth the wait to see them fail.

Let's keep this thread open to see if anything changes.

PS - to their credit, they do notify me pretty quick.
