Quite a generic with huge following. The key is to take the .org as a literal interpretation for Golfer organization or just valuate it on its own merits.

I would not let this one even open for negotiations for less than $15-$20 offer and that is still perhaps too low for a gTLD.

This is a solid name, and it is one you could possbile TRAP someone into paying a decent number for (get it?). But it is also the perfect example of a name that could get very lonely in the vault. It won't take too much imagination or luck to get paid off on this name, but the stars will have to align at least a little.. When the right set of end-user eyes sees it things will turn out well. I think it is in a different category than BodyLanguage.com, since the Body Language name would have more appeal to resellers, too. But I am sure you will get some interest here, as well.

I can't really put a number on it, other than to say that it would have to be at least 5K, since this is the type of name that could get much more than that if/when the domain Gods smile on you. It is not a name that you would ever want to let go in a fire-sale. It needs a specific end-user in order to get close to maximizing its sales potential. It is a nice name.

ignoring posting rules, just because you can

violates the spirit for which they were intended

imo...

What posting rule was broken?

I asked for an appraisal on a name I own.

As for telling people I have interest in selling it, would it have been better to make a second thread to clutter the forum or to simply let people know its an appaisal and the name is available.

I am not fielding offers in this appraisal thread.

Trashing someones thread with unrelated comments breaks the rules.

I think he meant the link to golfer.net (getting domain not configured error). And asking for offers.

I have deleted the link to avoid confusion.

What's the big deal anyway? Who cares about the (interesting) .net link being there.. I really don't get Don's remarks.

Golfer.org, nice name for a country club or golf resort.

I'd say $3k-$7k, more to right buyer.

Sure you'll have no problem selling. :)

It's worthless. That's why you should push it to me ASAP so I can take this monstrosity off your hands.

Ok, ok. I agree. In the $5k - $15K range.

if you feel i trashed your thread and broke a rule, censor it, delete it, give me a warning point, whatever

but when i start telling people i have an interest in selling my domain if i create a thread in this section.....please don't close it.

i'll only be doing it because i don't wanna clutter the forum with a second thread in the sales section.

but then again, members get their threads closed too because they have an active appraisal thread and an active sales thread simultaneously with the same domain.

i ain't mad...just pointing out

value = $,$$$

imo...

I think that's reasonable if you want an appraisal also.

... and no you don't deserve a warning point for an opinion. ;)
