I like b2, but generally I program my own stuff. I've been working lately by just taking vBulletin or phpBB, and just showing the data from forums in a different way on the website. That way, people can continue discussion in a messageboard context, and not have to stick to "talk back" format.

For example, this site I did for a Boston polic union just uses vBulletin, and its seems to work out well for them.

Also, there's a hack (or even a few) for vB that does a very nice job of "portalizing" it.

Great site! Really a pretty good job.

I am trying Expression Engine now. Since it's for a commercial use, I want something reliable and professional.

More suggestions are welcome.

I'm also looking for a good blog, sourceforge.net/projects/sphpblog/ would be perfect but I want to allow users to post a story, and for the admin to approve, and the users to leave comments.

Any help please?
