Before you all start flaming me, I am aware that there are PageRank scripts available on the web for free, but ours is very different!

Our PageRank Consol script requires no knowledge of scripting, and can be seamlessly integrated into your site just by adding one line of code to your pages:

<?php include($pageRank); ?>

It is fully customizable, you chose all the colors and text. At only 160 pixels wide, it fits perfectly into your sidebars or menu columns. The results to your PR enquiry are displayed graphically, in a small ratings bar. In less that 5 minutes visitors to your site could be checking their PageRank, and for only $5!

For more details, or to see an example of the script in action, please visit ThePhpStore.com

Thanks

That is cool and works well.

I am not too good at PHP so am wondering if I buy it does it require either myself or the user to have PHP installed? One reason I ask is in the past another member was offering a PR script here and it refused to work for me for some odd reason but worked for others, and I know that sometimes is an issue in some scripts not always working on every machine.

Yes, you do need to have PHP on your server, but unless you set it up yourself, pretty much any commercial webserver will already be running PHP.
There is a very quick and easy way to tell if you are:

Open up a new text file (notepad for Windows, simpleText for Mac).
Type the following line:
<? phpinfo(); ?>

Save the file as "info.php" (no ".txt" extension!), and upload it to the root directory of your site, then point your browser to:
http://www.YOUR-SITE.com/info.php

If you see a large webpage full of PHP config settings and information then you already have PHP installed, and this script will run fine on your server. If you just get a blank screen or see text file with "<? phpinfo(); ?>" in it, you don't have PHP installed, and can't run the script.

Thanks, I will run those tests next. In the meantime was wondering if I need to activate PHP for each individual site on the unix server or only 1 time? Thanks.

No, if the server has PHP installed, then it's running for all sites, you don't have to do anything to "active" it...

But why is it when I go into each site's control panel each individual site has a check box for turning on or off php? The server itself does not seem to have a main php check box, only the virtual sites.

Also wondering of it's OK to install the script on multiple sites or does the $5 only cover 1 site?

Sorry about all the questions.

I am pretty sure the server needs to have php turned on , in order to do the include command. Just my two cent.

Thanks cwsteam.com! How are you getting on with that BTW, did you get a chance to install it yet? I'll link to you as an example site once you have it up and running...

This is something I haven't really thought about too much yet. Like cwsteam says, it's only $5 a pop, but then I guess I'm selling it to the webmaster, so he should be able to use it wherever he wants. So, yes, I suppose it's okay. The only think I'm really concerned about is people passing it on to others for free. It's a one user, multiple sites licence.

makes sense, reasonable. Usually any script you buy is a one site license. I wish all my script owners from where I buy scripts were multipe sites licenses.:)

Does the script have capability for multiple domain check?

Not in it's current state. If you check the working example at ThePhpStore.com you will see that this PageRank consol is designed to fit neatly into a 160 pixel wide sidebar or menu column, and return a compact "google bar"-style ratings bar.

There are many freely-available bulk PageRank scripts out there that will return a big, ugly, list of results, but this was designed more with a view to being compact and fitting into your site's sidebar templates, rather than being the main content for your page.

Having said that, the section that does the actually checksum and PageRank decryption does handle bulk requests, so if you really did want a big long list of result bars you would just have to put the submitted URLs into an array, then cycle through them passing eash one through the checksum function and then to the results function.

In short, it's possible with a bit of customization, but it wasn't what the script was intended for, and really for bulk checking I would go with one of the "free but ugly" options available... :undecided
