Major part of every website development is getting traffic. Unless you have a great type-in name you better SEO your site. And even with great domains, you can get a lot more traffic through search engines.

Now heres something I would like you to answer. Ive searched google with ###### keyword and already on the 3rd place there is a site with PR4 while somewhere way back on the 6th page theres exact keyword site ######.tld with PR5. And that second site has just as much if not more content than the first one.. Can somebody now explain to me how google works?? Whats the whole point of PR then?

PS: site ranked as 4th has also PR of only 4 and so does one on the 5th place while one on the 6th has only PR3, 7th doesnt even appear (its offline) and 8th has PR5.

Thanks!

What PR is good for -

1. Getting your entire site spidered [and this matters for LARGE 2500+ page websites]
2. Gives you authority and prestige to other webmasters.
3. On two equally optimized websites, the one with higher PR WILL win.

Thanks Ahmed. No. 3 is what Ive expected, but since that website on the 2nd place doesnt seem to be any more SEOed than the one on the 6th page, Im begining to doubt that..

Could it be cos the other site is based on MOS? Php variables and urls..
