www.domainbonus.com

a spam email came advertising this site
this is NOT a scam , i.e. they don't state that this is sedo in order to get your logins or whatever HOWEVER their graphics, colors are all copy/paste from sedo.

at the begining I though they were listing their domains listed on sedo but they have their own submition offers form etc.

So they:
- send spam
- copy/paste design/colors form another well known related market venue.

Just wanted to know if Sedo has anything to do with this site

Hi Missedcall,

Thanks for bringing this to attention. I can confirm that this site has no affiliation with Sedo.

Please visit www.sedo.com for all Sedo services and products.

Thank you.

Tom

I just took a look at this today, but it doesn't look anything like Sedo in my opinion. I would say it looks a lot more like Afternic to me.

Does Afternic offer turnkey packages like this?

I recall seeing something very similar sometime ago. It was an affiliate that virtually duped the sedo site. They were actually selling these packages for several hundred dollars and promoting the integration of Sedo or the Sedo listing and offer format. Or if you wanted the free version you had to use their banners and ads.

I didn't think much of it at the time but after seeing this post it can be deceiving not to mention that spam is spam and theft is theft.

Looks a little like sedo. Some similar graphics like the little square graphic which fades.
The names at the site are not that great though and I didnt see any which were also listed at sedo but I didnt look too hard.

Probably someone had a sedo clone made and just listed their own names.

Probably an affiliate of afternic

If it is then they are not making any money as there are no sedo names listed on their site. No sedo ads etc.

I don't think it has anything to do with sedo (except for the similar looks :) )
The links redirect to afternic sales pages. Not sure if they have an aff program.

This site is run by Alex (based in Israel).
For a reason I ignore Alex wants his site look likes SEDO.
I don't think trying to look likes to your competitor is the best option to succeed.

the site is using whois contacts that is based in Berlin, Germany
wierd
