(Sunday, March 21st) "Get Out of My Namespace" by James Gleick.

Quote: "You don't own your name [first line!]" and "The world is running out of names."

He writes about previous cases filed at WIPO, why more of them are being filed, and, generally speaking, quite a good bit about all of domainland. He seems to have an acute awareness of our business. I highly recommend it!

(I am reading an "hard copy." Wish I knew how to get at it electronically so I could share it with those of you whom cannot get your hands on a copy!?!)

Worried about writer/publisher copyrights. Maybe found another way at The New York Times itself: http://www.nytimes.com/pages/magazine/index.html?8dpc
Hit "Go to Article" on the "Get Out of My Namespace" article brief. It then says "it's free," so maybe all you would have to do is "sign up." (I haven't, so I don't know for sure.) Let us know how it goes.

I HATE signing up, that's why I stopped reading the New York Times a few years ago (and later Washington Post @#$%^&*). But you may simply go to Google News (http://news.google.com) and search for the article ("Get Out of My Namespace"). And Voila! You can now read ALL 6 pages of it ... withOUT registering! LOL!

I signed up a loooong time ago, and never ever had to bother with identifying myself again. I don't think its any different than remaining signed into a forum.

Aside from going to his site, I've heard the Google or Moreover linking works too. For instance:
