I won a domain name in the last great domains monthly auction.
I paid immediately and waited to get the domain.
Today, almost 8 days after I paid, I got a message that the transaction was cancelled by sedo and I got a refund.
No explanation, no banned user, no nothing...
I send a message to sedo and I am waiting for an expanation AND a solution.

Might've been a stolen domain. Check the whois history to see if you can find any info.

I don't think it's a stolen domain. Owner stayed the same for the last 10 years.
They changed their email address 3 times but that doesn't seem strange to me over 10 years.

Would you mind sharing the domain name in question?

The reply from sedo:
We are very sorry that we had to cancel this transfer. Unfortunately we were not able to get hold on the seller after the closing of the auction. Every request to push the domain remained unanswered and any attempt to contact the person in all available ways also failed, which left us no option but to cancel the transaction.

The seller's account has been put under revision and is due to receive respective penalties. Thank you for your patience in this matter. I hope this information is helpful for you.

I didn't find the domain name here.
I guess they didn't like they only got their reserve price and no other bids.

Sounds like this seller set their own secret reserve and knew they were only going to sell if there was a bidding war. Can you let us know the name so we know who does business like this?

The domain is database.info. I won the auction for $999.

I don't know if sedo has done anything about this.
